Product Details

Refractory checker brick is a kind of heat regenerator which is widely recognized and accepted by iron making industries in this world recently and of strong heat exchange capacity, large heat storage area, smooth ventilation, low resistance and other excellent thermal properties. It is also a kind of heat-transfer medium, mainly used in the upper and medium part of regenerator of hot blast stove to accumulate heat.

As the carrier of high temperature heat, the refractory checker brick works by first burning the gas, heating the checker bricks in the regenerator with the generated high temperature flue gas, and then heating the cold air through the hot checker bricks. The hot blast furnace is alternately burned and air supplied, so that the blast furnace continuously obtains high temperature hot air. 


The following is a comparison of the heat storage area of several refractory checker bricks

(1) Traditional 7-hole lattice brick: the hole diameter is 43mm, and the heat storage area is 38.1m2/m3;

(2) 7-hole high-efficiency lattice brick: the hole diameter is 30mm, and the heat storage area is 47.08m2/m3;

(3) 19-hole high-efficiency lattice brick: the hole diameter is 30mm, and the heat storage area is 48.6m2/m3;

(4) 31-hole high-efficiency lattice brick: the hole diameter is 25mm, and the heat storage area is 58.1m2/m3;

(5) 37-hole high-efficiency lattice brick: the hole diameter is 20mm, and the heat storage area is 68.7m2/m3.

Application of Refractory Checker Brick

It is mainly used for hot blast stoves. When the temperature is under 900℃, fire clay brick is used; while the temperature is higher than 900℃, the material of checker brick should be high alumina, mullite, sillimanite, silica, etc.
